Texas Notary Fee Chart


Texas Government Code § 406.024 sets out the standard fees a Notary Public may charge for notary public services. In addition, § 406.111 sets out the fee of an online notarization.


All services by DFW Public Notary will incur a travel charge, which is separate from Texas Notary Fees.



Acknowledgment / Proof of Acknowledgement – first signature $6.00
An Acknowledgement / Proof of Acknowledgement is a certification that a signer personally appeared before the notary, was identified by the notary, and formerly declared to the notary that the signer willingly signed the document for its intended purpose.


Acknowledgment / Proof of Acknowledgement – each additional signature $1.00
An Acknowledgement / Proof of Acknowledgment is a certification that a signer personally appeared before the notary, was identified by the notary, then formerly declared to the notary that the signer willingly signed the document for its intended purpose.


Jurat – including oath or affirmation $6.00
A Jurat is a certification that a signer personally appeared before the notary with an unsigned document, was identified by the notary, was put under sworn oath or affirmation to attest the statements in the document were true, then signed the document is the presence of the notary.


Verification – including oath or affirmation $6.00
A Verification is a certification that a signer personally appeared before the notary, was identified by the notary, acknowledged signing the document, was put under sworn oath or affirmation and verified the statements in the document were true.


Oath-Affirmation – Witness/Deponent in a Deposition $6.00
The notary administers an oath or affirmation to a witness/deponent in a deposition, including completing the certificate, affixing the seal, and other connected business.


Certified Copy of Non-Recordable Document – per certificate $6.00
A Certified Copy of a Non-Recordable Document is a certification that a document was presented to the notary by the document’s custodian, was photocopied by the notary, and is a true, exact, complete and unaltered copy. The document is neither a public record nor a publicly recordable document.


Certified Copy of Notarial Record – per page $0.50
A Certified Copy of a Notarial Record is a certification, pursuant to Texas Government Code § 406.014(c), that a preceding or attached document is a true, exact, complete and unaltered copy made by the notary of a notarial record, the original of which is held in the custody of the notary. The Texas Secretary of State suggests that all requests for copies of entries in a notary’s record book be made in writing through a certified letter to the notary’s official address on file. Requests should include the name(s) of the document signer(s), the type of document(s) signed, and the month and year of the notarization.


All Other Notarial Acts – not otherwise provided for $6.00
Performing any other notarial act or completing a certificate and seal not otherwise provided for under Texas Government Code § 406.024.


Form I-9 Verification Fees


Form I-9: Basic Verification Service   $30.00
DFW Public Notary serves as an authorized agent of the employer. The agent (1) meets a remote hire employee to review Section 1 of their Form I-9 for completeness accuracy and readability, (2) physically examines employee-provided identification documents, ensuring the documents are acceptable in establishing both identity and employment authorization, (3) completes Section 2 of the Form I-9 Employment Eligibility Verification. Note: Unless otherwise instructed, the completed Form I-9 is returned to the employee. This is not a notarial act. A travel charge is additional.


Form I-9: Email Encrypted Copy of the Completed Form I-9 (optional add-on service)  $15.00
DFW Public Notary creates an encrypted .pdf file of the completed Form I-9, which is emailed to the employer on the same day as service.

 

Form I-9: Email Encrypted Copy of the Employee-Presented Identification Documents (optional add-on service)   $15.00
DFW Public Notary creates an encrypted .pdf file of the identification document(s) presented by the employee, which is emailed to the employer on the same day as service. 


Form I-9: Document Package Drop Off Fee (optional add-on service)   $15.00
This fee is for delivery of completed document packages to either UPS or FedEx Shipping Centers in Dallas, Texas for customer pre-paid overnight shipping. Delivery to other shipping center locations may incur an increased fee.



Travel Charges


Travel charges are not statutory fees and are listed separately from Texas Notary Fees. 


Express Rush Mobile Service (09:00 a.m. to 08:00 p.m.)   $65.00


Express Mobile Service is a discounted travel charge during regular business hours (9:00 a.m. to – 8:00 p.m.), for 30 minutes of service. This charge is separate from Texas Notary Fees.


Standard Mobile Service (09:00 a.m. to 08:00 p.m.)   $35.00


Standard Mobile Service is a travel charge during regular business hours (9:00 a.m. to – 8:00 p.m.) to meet you at a mutually agreed upon location (within 15 miles of Interstate 30 and Hampton, Dallas), for 30 minutes of service. Locations beyond 10 miles may incur an additional mileage surcharge. This charge is separate from Texas Notary Fees.


Late Evening Mobile Service (8:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.)   $70.00


Late Evening Mobile Service is a travel charge between 8:00 p.m. and 10:00 p.m. to meet you at a mutually agreed upon location (within 15 miles of Interstate 30 and Hampton, Dallas) for 30 minutes of service. Locations beyond 10 miles may incur an additional mileage surcharge. This charge is separate from Texas Notary Fees.


Night Owl Mobile Service (10:00 p.m. to 12:00 a.m.)   $100.00
 

Night Owl Mobile Service is a travel charge between 10:00 p.m. and 12:00 a.m. (midnight) to meet you at a mutually agreed upon location (within 15 miles of Interstate 30 and Hampton, Dallas) for 30 minutes of service. Locations beyond 10 miles may incur an additional mileage surcharge. This charge is separate from Texas Notary Fees.


Overnight/Early Bird Mobile Service (12:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m.)  $125.00
 

Overnight/Early Bird Mobile Service is a travel charge between 12:00 a.m. and 9:00 a.m. to meet you at a mutually agreed upon location (within 15 miles of Interstate 30 and Hampton, Dallas) for 30 minutes of service. Locations beyond 10 miles may incur an additional mileage surcharge. This charge is separate from Texas Notary Fees.

Mileage Surcharge (>10 miles) per mile – one way   $2.00
 
 

A mileage surcharge is applied when a customer-designated location for service is greater than 15 miles of Interstate 30 and Hampton, Dallas. Charged at $2.00 per mile (one way). This charge is separate from Texas Notary Fees.

Toll Charges – $ variable $
 
 

NTTA tolls incurred (round trip) will be charged. The amount will vary, based on the location of service. This charge is separate from Texas Notary Fees.


Collar County Service Surcharge   $50.00
 
 

Service outside Tarrant, Dallas, Collin, Johnson and Ellis counties will incur a collar county travel surcharge. This charge is separate from Texas Notary Fees.


Wait charges are additional $10.00 Per 15 Mins.
